[miningmx.com] – HARMONY Gold said an employee at its Doornkop mine west of Johannesburg was fatally injured following a fall of ground on July 29.
Doornkop was the mine where nine Harmony employees lost their lives following an underground fire in February. At the time, the company promised an intensive investigation to get to the root of the accident.
“Investigations into the accident are underway,” said Harmony Gold CEO, Graham Briggs in an announcement. “All production at the mine has been stopped by management,” he said.
