– Russia has introduced a three-year, anti-dumping import duty on some flat-rolled steel from Brazil, China, Korea and South Africa, a government decree showed on Wednesday.
The duties will apply to flat-rolled steel containing at least 2.5 nickel.
The duty will be set at 39.1% for Chinese producers excluding Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel, at 62.8% for Korean firms excluding Posco, at 21.1% for Brazil, and 33.3% for South Africa.
The duty for Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel and Posco will be set at 29.9% and 4.8%, respectively, the decree showed.
The decree was signed on November 23 and will come into force one month after publication in the official government gazette.
Mechel is the main Russian producer of the type of products affected, which are used in the engineering industries.
