Miranda completes R100m Nkomati deal

[miningmx.com] – MIRANDA Minerals confirmed it would buy the Nkomati Anthracite mine from Sentula Mining taking over a R100m loan and that it had secured an offtake agreement for the coal.

However, the transaction may come at a cost following the resignation of Rudolph de Bruin, a mining entrepreneur who was responsible for breathing new life into Miranda following a series of missteps as an exploration company.

According to BDLive, De Bruin resigned as a result of a rift with John Wallington, MD of Miranda Minerals although neither executive has commented to BDLive on the matter. Another Miranda executive, John Bristow, also resigned from the board.
