Evraz reviewing steel price collusion claims

[miningmx.com] – EVRAZ Highveld Steel and Vanadium said it was
reviewing with its legal team a case of market collusion brought by the Competition
Commission earlier this week. The commission also implicated ArcelorMittal SA in the
collusion.

The referral follows a complaint in early 2008 that ArcelorMittal and Evraz Highveld
allegedly colluded to adjust the price for certain steel products.

“Evraz Highveld supports and will always support market competition,” it said in a
statement. “To this end, we have fully co-operated with the competition authorities
throughout their four-year investigation and will continue to do so in the future.”
