Impala resumes Rustenburg activities

[miningmx.com] — IMPALA Platinum has resumed operations at its shaft number 11 in Rustenburg, which were suspended last week after a miner died following a fall of ground, spokesperson Bob Gilmour said on Monday.

The National Union of Mineworkers has said it would stage a one-day work stoppage at the world’s second-largest producer of the metal to highlight the union’s concerns over safety.
