Ghana asks AngloGold to keep cuts ‘reasonable’

[miningmx.com] – ANGLOGOLD has been asked by the Ghanaian government to keep planned job cuts at the west African country’s Obuasi mine “reasonable”, said Bloomberg News.

The news wire service, citing Simon Atebiya, an official at Ghana’s Ministry of Land and Natural Resources, said AngloGold has been asked to maintain a “reasonable reduction of labour force’.
