[miningmx.com] – GLENCORE Xstrata will ship concentrate from its Rosh Pinah mine in Namibia from the country’s Luderitz port rather than Walvis Bay which is 812km away, said Bloomberg News citing a spokesperson for the Swiss-based commodities trader and miner.
In contrast to Walvis Bay, Luderitz is only 290km from Rosh Pinah which produces lead and zinc concentrates used in galvanising steel products.
