[miningmx.com] – SIX miners suffered “minor injuries’ following a mild tremor measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale at the Siphumelele mine of Anglo American Platinum (Amplats), the company confirmed today.
“The mine has been evacuated, and emergency services and medical staff are on site to provide the necessary medical attention,” said Mpumi Sithole, spokesperson for Amplats. The tremor occurred this morning, she said.
