
[miningmx.com] – THE South African economy would recover from the five month platinum strike especially as minerals beneficiation was likely to increase, said BDLive citing comments by trade and industry minister, Rob Davies.
Speaking to the press at a joint function with his Canadian counterpart Ed Fast, Davies said: “I am confident that we (South Africa) can avoid a recession and that government’s minerals’ beneficiation strategy (will) contribute to that.
“I don’t know if that’s going to mean only limited growth in this quarter. I am sure from increasing the impact of industrial areas of minerals beneficiation,” he said.
