[miningmx.com] – FIRESTONE Energy, a Johannesburg-listed coal development company, said it had appointed Ardbel to build a 22 million tonne per year coal handling and processing plant for its project in the Limpopo province.
Ardbel is a joint venture between ELB Engineering Services and DRA and represented “a significant step forward” in the development of the Waterberg Coal project, Firestone Energy said in its announcement.
Firestone Energy is controlled by Waterberg Coal Company, an Australian company, which is led by Stephen Miller. The two companies hold their interest in the project in the Waterberg Coal Joint Venture Company.
It added that it was meeting with potential financiers for the project and would update the market on its activities, including more detailed figures on the coal project, within the next four weeks.
